David Ramirez Rodriguez

I am a first generation college graduate, earning a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Physiology, and with an emphasis in Ecology, Adaptation and Evolution. I am interested in the physiological processes, systems, and mechanisms organisms have in place to communicate, defend, and adapt and how these functions change in new environments and more importantly, in a hotter planet. One of my favorite quotes is by Socrates, "The more I know, the more I realize I know nothing," and I believe it is our duty as scientists to keep studying, ask questions, and contribute to the pool of knowledge so others may learn and use that information and inspire others to find answers to their questions. 

 

When I'm not contemplating the mysteries of life, I enjoy playing video games and watching movies, seeing live music in the city, and hanging out with my dog Simba.
